2013 Christmas Kpop Songs

My personal favorite 2013 Christmas songs

Did SM release a Christmas song yet? idk. if they did or do I'll add it later. I hope I don't miss anything but for 2013, these are my personal favorites:

1. Cube United: Christmas Song
Oh my goooodddd this is just perfect and I swear it's not because I'm Cube biased (its bc im changsub biased tbh no jk i promise) ok it's just such a good song and Junhyung and Ilhoon's raps are so good sobs this song is so fun and spirited and just perfect okay I sing it all the time and my younger sister gets so annoyed but it's just a really really good Christmas song ok!!!

2. Jelly Christmas 2013: Winter Propose
Ok I might be biased again because of VIXX but this song is really addicting. They all have such great voices and I can't get enough of it. I love listening to songs like this one and it feels so happy and sweet and Taekwoon's voice is so sweet omg.

3. Starship Planet: Snow Candy
I might be biased.....again.......because I love Boyfriend, love K.Will and love Sistar but this song is adorable anyway and I love their family ^^

4. Jonghyun & Juniel: Love Falls
They go sooo well together. What a Christmasy song I love it. I think the whole world is starting to really ship them ahaha. The lyrics of this song are so cute too omg idk sobs.

5. Boyfriend: Pinky Santa
Another adorable Japanese Boyfriend song sobs I love them so much. This was released kind of early but it's just so adorable I want to cry. I don't know why there is a giant bunny in the music video and I also don't understand who decided to style Jeongmin's hair like that because it's always perfect but in this video it just looks so funny ugh but that's not the poinT the point is that this is a really cute Christmas song!!

6. BESTie: Jjang Christmas
Bestie have great vocals and are very cute! This song is such a good holiday one~ It was just released earlier today I think buuut it's nice!

7. 2Bic: Lonely Christmas
They always sound beautiful so this song is no exception and I also find the music video incredibly adorable. I could probably listen to their voices all day long~

8. Mystic Holiday 2013: Christmas Wishes
Lim Kim's voice is mesmerizing and this song is really cute and very Christmasy haha idk how else to describe it.

9. Shin Bora: Frozen
Bora has such a beautiful voice & this song is really touching and beautiful and I love it. To be honest I just listened to this song earlier today but it's a really nice song~

10. EXO: Miracles in December
They have good voices and this is a pretty ballad song just not really what I would choose to listen to with holiday spirit lol still a good one. I think I just hear it too often because everyone is just so EXO biased.

11. Crayon Pop: Lonely Christmas
When...will...they...take...off...the...goddamn helmits... Idk I'm just over Crayon Pop's silliness to be honest. I thought it was clever and unique at first but now I'm just tired of it. This song is like, exactly like all their other songs and it doesn't even sound Christmasy idk it bothers me but yeah that's why it's last.

So yeah I feel like I forgot something but hopefully I didn't because there are ten on this list how fucking cool is that right [edit: added BESTie's song] but anyway i really don't know how to rank songs in terms of 'favorites' but I did my best. Kpop Christmas songs are my favorite thing ever so YEA I'm going to probably make a "Top 10 All Time Favorite Kpop Christmas Songs" post later but I'm lazy so this is good for now plus I've been posting a lot of music recs lately oopS

October Faves

Sorry for lack of posts; lately I have had a lot on my mind but I haven't been able to express it in words.

Update: 5 days until VIXX Live in Dallas! I cannot wait. I am really hoping that things go smoothly although I am slightly worried since this is my first time traveling / spending the night in a different city without my family and it's going to be weird! Also, I am sitting alone so I do hope I sit by nice people. I'm also kind of short so I hope I can still see the stage and such, especially since my seats aren't way up close. Oh man, I hope I can get some good footage and photos. I want to wear something cute but can't find any cheap cute clothing around town so we'll see how that goes.

Ok sorry. Anyways I actually have A LOT OF MANY favorites so here goes!

• Lee Seung Chul: My Love (it takes a lot for a video to make me cry but this one did, currently my ringtone)
• Bestie: Love Options (hilarious, perfect)
• Jaejoong: Just Another Girl (new song but sooooo good and soo Jaejoong)
• Boyfriend: Excuse Me (and all their other songs as usual)
• Untouchable: Only U (so cute, so good, can't wait for Untouchable comeback!)
• Nell's album "Let it Rain" (perfect studying music yes)
• LeeSSang: Girl Who Can't Break Up, Boy Who Can't Leave (it was in my head one day and then I listened to it and didn't stop for like a week omg)
• Nell: Cliff Parade
• Imogen Heap: Hide and Seek (rediscovered this song couple weeks ago and love it even more now)
• Beenzino: Boogie On and On (I basically listen to this when I walk to class every day)
• Young Money: Bedrock (don't judge me.)

TV / Dramas / Movies

• Running Man: I've always loved Running Man but recently found it to be a good pastime for when I am stressed or need a laugh. Kwang Soo especially has brightened my mood a lot this month and I even dreamed about him a couple times LOL. Honestly all of the regular cast is hilarious and I love them and they really make me happy.
• Two Weeks: Someone I know recommended this one...I was going to start Heirs but this one is so much better oh my goodness. I think it's a sort of City Hunter like drama except better! It's perfect. I love the drama, the storyline, the actors, everything! The characters are perfection and I love the way that it isn't your traditional love story drama but instead about the relationship between father and daughter and how it drives the entire story!
• Chilling Romance: Me and a friend watched this movie together the other day and loved it! Lee Min Ki is one talented actor and the drama is adorable! I love the way he expresses his feelings and the inflections in his voice when he does...that sounds weird to say but oh my god he's just amazing. Good good movie, if sort of weird at times hehe.
• Saw series: Me and my roomie watched 5 (?) Saw movies this month and have been pondering about their meaning / message and whatnot and they're just really good movies that make you question your values and morals and things. Good good. Good stuff yes good.

Fashion
~~~Firstly: recently I have bought many items online and not many items in person so most of these are things that I like that are kpop related lmfao
~~~Secondly: I definitely don't have sense of style but that doesn't mean I can't like things so that's why I'm sharing~

• LeeSSang hat: like I said, I've been watching a lot of Running Man and Gary wears LeeSSang hats all the time (obviously) and I've also really been wanting a snapback (originally I was going to buy a "geek" one or "comme des fuckdown") and I bought this on a whim and love it! It's a little big for my head but you know who gives a shit haha.
• Chanyeol Wolf shirt: I'm definitely not an Exo stan but seriously I have been loving that sort of black and white fashion like these shirts and I bought Chanyeol's because he's adorable and I love him but anyway I would literally wear this every day if I could because it's comfortable and goes with my style!
• jacket (above): My mother bought me this when I went home for the weekend and it's perfect!
• sweatshirts: Unfortunately I do not own any of these buuuut I saw THIS at Urban the other day and fell in love with the style (the sleeves are a different material and it's just wonderful omg)....not that I would ever be able to pull it off or afford it....nonetheless I really dig the large black and white sweatshirt type for some reason. I really love wearing the color black especially in sweatshirts so I went ahead and pre-ordered THIS ONE in a crewneck which I will pick up in Dallas on Friday. It's not as great as some like this, this, or this (i want this one sooo bad), which I would love to own but it's okay because I'm supporting VIXX and probably wouldn't pull the others off anyway.

Food

• Pineapple fried rice: I'm not huge on Thai food but me and the roomie tried some Thai the other day and this dish was amazing!
• bananas: always a staple in my diet!
• Gold Emblem: Cheese Snack Crackers: almost better than Cheez-it's honestly! I really like cheesy foods, like a lot, so when I found these cheap I had to try them and they're amazing!
• Gold Emblem honey roasted almonds: Mmmm, almonds...
• peanut butter jelly sandwiches: I find that if I don't eat lunch I get headaches until dinner and end up eating too much. A PBJ with some milk and a banana is the perfect lunch to keep me full and happy until dinner time.

Week of Aug 11 Song Rec

A friend suggested I do this weekly so I thought hey why not!

I don't think I'm going to have a "theme" for the song recs I'm just going to put down any 5 songs I feel like telling people about! So the "Week of Aug 11" thing doesn't mean I'm just going to recommend songs that I've listened to this week, it just means that's the week I'm posting these songs.And I decided to post this every Sunday because it is the first day of the week ^^ Omg I have so many songs I want to recommend but I'll just keep them in mind for next week. Hahaha ok I'll shut up. Hope you enjoy ^^

1. MIB's 5Zic - Beautiful Day

I'm a huge fan of MIB and despite everyone else's hatred for their use of auto tune I think they are very talented and fun entertainers. Anyway this is 5zic's solo song and it's my favorite of their solo songs, and is also the reason that I grew to appreciate them and also some of the more mainstream khiphop artists. It's a very fun song as well ^^ I don't have much else to say tbh.

2. Boyfriend - Good Night

If you know me well enough you probably know that out of all the kpop groups out there I enjoy Boyfriend's songs the most. I don't even know all of their names tbqh, but I never get bored of their music and I think their style is incredibly unique and beautiful and just perfect. They are sooo underrated and I appreciate their talent because it goes unrecognized a lot of times. Not to mention they always have really difficult choreography but no one really mentions that either...I think people are too focused on the fact that they are young and called "Boyfriend" that they overlook their talent and musicality.

ANYway back on subject: The song "Good Night." It is literally that "just started dating" phase in a song. The perfect romance personified. Even the first line, "Goodbye, I don't want to let you go so I just say bye several times" illustrates what couples feel when they're saying good bye or good night, like they don't want to leave, you just want the moment to last forever... that feeling is captured soo well in this song. "I miss you and miss you even though I just saw you" "I'm a fool who only sees you" "Time is so long" I feel like the song is the perfect description of the type of relationship everyone wants and the melody fits the lyrics perfectly for that.

It really is one of my favorites from their album "Janus." It boosts my mood when I'm down and makes me feel calm and romantic. So anyway, I recommend this song because it is just simply wonderful.

3. SS501 - Lonely Girl

So ss501 was one of the first kpop groups that I was a fan of so a lot of their songs really mean a lot to me because at the time I was going through a lot of emotional stress and their songs were I guess there as a comfort. Anyway this song is actually just Kyu Jong and Hyung Jun but I still really love it. It gives off kind of a 70s vibe to me, it reminds me of a certain song that I can't remember by some 70s group I can't remember but anyway I find it incredibly cute and it makes me feel like I'm floating on a very comfy cloud. ^u^ I guess the reason that it's so personal for me is because it talks about a lonely girl and the speaker's love for her so for me, even though I feel lonely a lot of the time it's nice to think that I am still loved. Other than that I just really love the harmonies and the way they hit those high notes and yeah. Great song!

4. U-Kiss - I Don't Understand

I freaking looove this song. This is my favorite U-Kiss song by far. I love the sound, the melody, their voices, just everything. When I first heard it I didn't know what it translated to so I kind of interpreted it in the way that I wanted...so it was comforting because it made me feel that even though I don't always understand things, I don't have to.I don't have to have a plan for myself or understand why things happen or understand even myself. It's okay to be confused or unsure about things. Anyway now that I understand some of the lyrics better and have looked them up I realize it's about a romance, and not understanding each other which I still think is a beautiful thought. I mean, you don't have to understand perfectly for something to work. Kind of gives me hope ya know. But anyway I recommend this song; it has picked me up several times when I have been down. I stop crying when this song comes on so yeah ^^

5. Lee Juck - With You

This is one of my all time favorite songs; it makes me feel very...alive. I love the way his voice sounds and I love the way the song progresses. It's inspiring and fun and just a really great song. I don't know Lee Juck very well but I do know that this is from his 3rd album which I love dearly. Anyway I listen to this song when I need motivation and it does the trick! It also has kind of a 70s vibe to me, but then again I don't know 70s music all too well so I'm probably getting that all wrong. But this song is one I turn to a lot when I just want a beautiful, really authentic song without loud bass or beats or any of that stuff. Highly recommend it for people who like K-Indie!
