I absolutely hate it when people tell me I don't need to lose weight.
Do you honestly think I want to lose weight because I care what you think of my body? Hell no, it's because I want to feel comfortable with my own body. I honestly find it completely rude when other people think they can judge your decisions on what to eat, how much to eat, what diet you're on, how often you work out, how you workout, etc because all of those things involve personal decisions and making yourself feel good and it has nothing to do with other people. Don't judge me because I'm uncomfortable with my body, you have no right. I don't give a shit if every person in the whole goddamn world thinks I'm attractive, if I want to lose weight I'm going to do it.
There's nothing wrong with self-improvement and setting goals and such when related to food and exercise gives you something to feel accomplished about. Lately, I have been missing this sense of accomplishment that I used to have through other things. So why the hell can't I want to work out? It isn't because I'm conforming to society's judgment of beautiful, nor is it because I want to impress other people. I want to get fit and see progress and complete daily goals and weekly goals and monthly goals and feel proud of myself for them. I want to show myself that I can do it, so I can be confident in myself and comfortable with my body, regardless of what it looks like. Even if I look the same to other people, the fact that I put in effort and time into taking care of myself makes me look better to ME.
So fuck all those people who think they're doing you a favor by telling you that you're pretty anyway and don't need to work out. They make me feel guilty for wanting to, and that's pretty fucking messed up. I shouldn't have to feel judged for my decision to work out or not. No one has that right except me.

Language
I think language is such a beautiful thing; you can put so much meaning into things so simple as just words.
And then there are things you can say in one language that don't translate to another and I just find that completely and utterly beautiful. That means that those particular words are so unique that they are strictly singular to one language. No one who doesn't speak that language will ever understand that string of words, and possibly what it means to say them.
This is why I find it baffling that people look down upon people who don't speak their language. For some reason, a lot of people, notably Americans, feel that people who don't speak their language, notably English, are dumb or ignorant. When in fact it is the complete opposite. Other languages beyond English are much more beautiful and interesting and complicated and a lot of times people are too stubborn to see that.
I don't know why people always think that THEIR language is the "right" one or the "best" one or THEIR culture is the culture that everyone should adapt to. Isn't what makes our world so amazing the fact that their are millions of different lifestyles, yet we all live in harmony on the same planet?
It annoys me when people look down on me for my culture, or look down on others for their culture. This is the way they live. This is how they grew up and their culture has meaning to them. Just because it means nothing to you does not mean it has no meaning at all. It just means you are being too stubborn and close minded to give it meaning.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when people pity me. I am proud of where I come from and I am proud of my culture. Don't pity me for something like that. This is why I find culture and language so interesting and why I want to pursue a lifestyle where I can openly explore different cultures. I love learning about them and I love trying to find their beauty and I hate that society is often so stuck up and contemptuous about other cultures. It gives people the wrong idea about other societies.
We should be living open-mindedly, not chastising others for the things that make them unique.

Live for Yourself.
Lately I've had a lot of wisdom shared with me and I've learned a lot about life and loving people and being a respectful human being and it's made me have really complex thoughts that I don't even know if I quite understand.
I'm becoming more opinionated but I can't tell if these opinions are born from ignorance or if they're sound...so I don't know if I should share them or keep them to myself to avoid any possible embarrassment...and even if these opinions are 'sound' well...what does that even mean?
So they're acceptable by society...so what?
I don't need the acceptance of society or my friends and peers to be "right" or "wrong" do I? What's saying they are "right" and "wrong" anyway?
In the end, it's not them who will determine what was right and wrong, what was good and bad, what opinions were 'sound' and what thoughts were revolutionary.
I'm not a super religious person but I have my beliefs about what determines all of this, but who is saying that I'm right about even that? Science can explain many things but there is no way of testing and experimenting to find out what thoughts and opinions are morally correct, or what religion or belief is the truth. Really there is no way for any one human to know what exactly is "right" and what is the "truth" about anything. So why do we spend our lives trying to please other human beings?
Through typing all of this I'm kind of realizing the importance of living for yourself. No matter what you do, someone is going to disagree. Someone is going to disapprove. So instead of living to please others, or do what you think society wants you to, or what society thinks is 'right', do what /you/ think is right. Do what allows you to accomplish what you want to accomplish. Make your own goals and accomplish them. Exceed them. Go beyond your own limits, not those set upon you by people who won't matter in the grand scheme of your life. Ignore the people that tell you that you are doing something wrong. Make your own mistakes and learn from them.
